PAYMENT AND BILLING

At Dr. Ebony Harpool’s Telemedicine Practice, we strive to make the payment and billing process straightforward and transparent. This Payment and Billing Policy outlines the terms and conditions for payment for telecommunication medical services ("Telehealth Services"). By using our services, you agree to these terms.

In general, what should except with Payment and Billing?

1. Payment Terms

Payment at the Time of Service: All fees for Telehealth Services must be paid in full at the time of the appointment unless otherwise arranged.

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards and online payment platforms such as Stripe or PayPal.

 

Receipts: A receipt will be provided after payment is processed.

2. Service Fees

Fees for Telehealth Services are determined based on the nature of the consultation and will be disclosed before the appointment.

Certain services, such as prescription refills or chronic disease management, may incur additional fees, which will be communicated in advance.

3. Insurance

Out-of-Network Provider: Our telemedicine practice operates as an out-of-network provider. Patients are responsible for submitting claims to their insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Responsibility for Charges: Patients are responsible for all fees not covered by their insurance plan.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy: Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

Refunds: Payments for services rendered are non-refundable. Exceptions may be made at our discretion for circumstances such as technical issues preventing the completion of the consultation.

5. Late or Declined Payments

If a payment is declined or delayed, the patient must provide an alternate payment method promptly to avoid interruption of services.

Outstanding balances may result in the suspension of Telehealth Services until payment is resolved.

6. Financial Hardship

Patients experiencing financial hardship may inquire about available payment plans or discounts. These options are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

7. Disputes

Any billing disputes must be raised within 30 days of the date of the charge. Please contact us promptly to address any concerns.
